Under the microscope:

T-Nation And The Supplement Scams In General

by Rusi
If you are familiar with my site you probably know my statement on supplements -
you can do just fine without them. However today's post is dedicated to one very
specific product. It's a product called Indigo-3G. The product is available on T-Nation
but the more interesting is the incredible arrogant and misleading presentation/review
of this “magical supplement.”

The presentation of the product can be found here:

The first sentence goes like this:

“Christian Thibaudeau never wants to go a day without it. “

For those of you who are not familiar who the hell is Christian Thibaudeau he is a
“fake” natural amateur bodybuilder who is also a highly rated and respected personal
trainer in the training community. He is also a former amateur Olympic weightlifter.

However the statement that he never “wants to a day without” Indigo 3G is extremely
misleading and has one purpose alone - use the body of Thibaudeau as product
advertisement. In other words people who would like to look like him may think that
the secret behind his great physique which is both massive and lean is based on
Indigo 3G. This couldn't be further from the truth. Thibaudeau has most definitely
reached his level of development far before ever implementing Indigo 3G in his
supplement stack, if he even used it. He also is/was on steroids.

Q: Bro, how do you know he is on steroids?

A: Simple. He is around 5'8, if that, and is about 210 pounds lean and vascular. Now
let's take a look at the great Mike Mentzer who is the same height and most of his
career he competed at 210 pounds before reaching his peak - 220 lbs. In other words
there is no way the difference between a natural bodybuilder and IFBB pro (even in
the Golden Era) will be just 10 lbs. That just doesn't happen, not in this life. Another
good example will be the first Mr. Olympia - Larry Scott. He is 5'7 and competed at
200 lbs with a well known steroid use. Still not convinced.

Frank Zane was 200 lbs in the off-season and around 180 lbs in competition form. He
was 5'9 and it's a well known fact that he took steroids. I can go on and with
examples but I think this is enough for now. Natural bodybuilders who are 5'8 tall
never reach 200 lbs at 5% BF.  Anybody telling you otherwise is a liar. In order to
reach that weight and level of leanness completely naturally you will have to be about
6'1. Sorry to break your reality and please don't forget that we are talking about 5%
BF and not “but I can see my abs type of lean”.

So, in fact Indigo 3G's poster boy is on steroids or at least was in some point in his
life. (I wouldn't be surprised if he tried much more than that but without facts its just
a projection from my part.)

Let's go to sentences number TWO.

“Dr. Ziegenfuss is going to devote the next several years of his career to its
further study, and all the original test subjects would do anything to keep taking

Sure, throw in some doctor's name right after presenting a steroid made physique and
you have a noob magnet. Why would anybody risk taking this stuff before Dr.
Ziegenfuss confirms Idigo 3G is safe to take. LOL! Just LOL!

Nobody, absolutely nobody who is serious about not getting in jail will ever under any
kind of circumstances launch a product that people tend to put in their mouths without
making lots of tests. I know I wouldn't but I guess Dr. Ziegenfuss trust his lab rats.

No comment. Another misleading lie.

Cool. Let's go to paragraph FOUR.

“Read the following very carefully and really get my point. Only a fortunate few
will have access to this very scarce super-supplement. And I want to make
absolutely sure that every user experiences the same kinds of shocking effects
you're going to read about later in this article.”

Of course T-Nation would like you to believe that just a few will get to use Indigo 3G
when the reality is that as long as people buy this “magical crap” it will continue to be
on the market unless the Doc finds something wrong with its “shocking effects.” Yeah
right. It looks to me that the only shocking effect is having less money in the bank. I
don't like this effect.

Let's go to paragraph number FIVE.

“This should be no big revelation, but just like all other supplements and
performance enhancers, Indigo-3G™ has a specific dosing protocol that works
incredibly well. So well, in fact, that we have yet to see any failed cases. In fact,
we worked hard on determining the correct dosing strategy long before
introducing Indigo-3G™ to consumers.”

Ok. T-Nation is already contradicting itself. It may be the Indigo talking. First they say
the Doc is yet to find how this stuff works and makes people swim on earth.

Now it turns out that a specific protocol was already calculated. In other words
extended studies had to be made.

Let's go on:

“The consensus among all involved with the research was that if we could just get
consumers to use Indigo-3G exactly like we were using it - the protocol we found
that has the maximum effect on all users - then everyone would become fanatics,
just like we are. In other words, it's all about following our dosing plan, to the

LoL! Of course T-Nation wants you to follow the plan to the letter because otherwise -
they don't get as much money. This is also a greatway to have a secret back door for
escape - in case the “magical crap” that makes you fly under water fails T-Nation's
gang will probably say you didn't follow the protocol to the letter. Nice try but I'm
actually smarter than a bottle of Indigo 3G.

After a long bragging about how about the whole world wanted to participate in the
Indigo 3G test T-Nation finally presents the opinion of the guys using it. No, wonder
it's mostly lifters from the forum, some of them even moderators. Not that I'm saying
there is something suspicious but I am certainly writing that possible bribe is to be

Let's go.

"As a competing bodybuilder, I'm totally shocked with the effects of Indigo-3G."
I used Indigo-3G in the four weeks between two of my bodybuilding shows, and I
have to tell you that I'm totally shocked with the results. In the four weeks
between shows, not only have I gotten tighter and bigger, I now have striations
I've never seen before.

As a natural competitor - and almost 40! - that's simply not supposed to happen in
four weeks between shows.

Not only that, I won the last contest!

- The Mighty Stu

Sure, bro. You are almost forty. Training for about crap ton of years. And just now
you've found that Indigo 3G and results are coming week after week. Sure. You should
be ashamed. Liar.

"It's like being genetically gifted."
I'm now at the heaviest I've ever been, but I'm actually looking leaner with each
passing week! The last time that I looked this lean I was on a strict diet and much
lighter. I can tell a big increase in my work capacity as well. I can push my training
to new levels, but my body seems to want more.

I now get what it's like to be genetically gifted.

- Barachiel

Since many T-Nation bros like to bitch about genetics Indigo 3G overcomes even that.
Do you have something that will make my dick grow too? Please.....get out of my face
before I smack the shit out of you. Genetics never change and certainly some bottle
full of crap ain't gonna make you feel “genetically gifted.” Bro, how do you sleep at
night? Oh....I got it - with lots of money and Indigo 3G bottles T-Nations gives you for
talking nonsense.

"Amazing pumps, like I'm going to explode!"
I had my neighbor come up out of the blue, squeeze my arms, and ask me about
training. And she's never done that before.

The pumps I'm getting are amazing. I felt like I was going to explode. I've also
noticed a great increase in work capacity, and find myself wanting to stay in the
gym longer and longer to the point where I have to force myself to leave.

- ashylarryku

Now I just want to vomit. Are you serious? “Some neighbor come up out of the blue.”
And of course it's a girl and she wants to squeeze your sexy recently transformed arms
after taking STRICT DOSES of Indigo 3G. Give me a break.

So far Indigo 3G does everything - allows you to lose fat and gain muscle mass at the
same time (close to impossible), have a great pump, be “tighter”....etc. Let's see
what's next.

"The pumps are out of this world."
I've been on Indigo-3G for several weeks. The other day I took off my shirt and
looked like I was on a cycle of steroids.
- bodz

Lol! So, now it turns out Indigo 3G feels like a cycle of steroids.

"Everything I eat seems to turn to muscle. (sure bro, try a diet consisting only of
"When I started taking the dark-indigo capsules I weighed 221. Eight days later I
had dumped fat and excess water and dropped down to 211. At first I thought I
was taking a fat-burner. But after six days of adding carbs (like you suggested)
I'm up to a lean 224, and I'm just as lean (if not leaner) as I was at 211!
"I hate to be 'that guy' who keeps on raving about something, but I honestly
would take up a second mortgage to make sure that I never run out of this stuff.
It keeps getting better and better. The only downside is that I'm changing too
fast and people are starting to 'talk."
- -Christian Thibaudeau

I don't know where to start. Honestly. This guy is out of his freaking mind.  Look,
Thibadeau if you are reading this I want you to read it very carefully and say it out
loud in first person with your Canadian accent right in front of the mirror.

The above lines are as pathetic as you can get. You are talking absolute nonsense
orientated towards misleading people into buying a crappy product because of your
false statements.
You lost 10 pounds but after 6 (SIX DAYS) you are up to lean 224 which is close to
impossible at your height unless you take steroids and lots of them. Second you are
making people believe that you would actually take a mortgage in order to pay for this
crap. You talk like a drug addicted.
Third, no bro, you ain't changing too fast, at least not thanks to Indigo 3G. If you
haven't found out by now most natural bodybuilders ARE PRETTY MUCH MAXED OUT
after a few years of training.
Also people are not talking how you change. Unless you bought some expensive
clothes with your income from the Indigo 3G and God knows what other crap from
Biotest and T-Nation you are getting a percentage from.
Give me a break T-Nation. Nobody should ever pay you more than a middle finger for
your Indigo 3G crap and other products. You should be ashamed. Pathetic liars.

Forget about supplements. All of them. Even minerals and vitamins and fish oil. That's
some crap too. Buy some real protein dense food. Take 1.2 protein per pound every
day and eat 18-20 x bodyweight calories from real food such as meat, eggs, milk,
fruits, vegetables, nuts, fish...etc, train hard for 3 (THREE) years while focusing on
increasing your strength instead of performing silly crap like drop sets at 40% 1 RM or
the perfect rep (T-Nation I'm coming after that one too) and you will reach about 90%
of the size you WILL EVER going to be NATURALLY. And trust me you will be pretty
big without ever taking crap like Indigo 3G.

T-Nation please change your name to Money-Nation, you bastards.
